This grayscale image of M33, a galaxy, was created by Rakesh Nath using Internet Observatory #3. This galaxy, in the constellation Triangulum, presents itself face-on from our perspective. It is relatively close in the sky to M31, the Andromeda Galaxy.

This grayscale image of M27, the Dumbbell Nebula, was created by Rakesh Nath using Internet Observatory #3. This is a planetary nebula, which is a late stage of stellar evolution for Sun-like stars when the star's outer atmosphere is being blown off into interstellar space.
